For sale is our iconic EP3 Type R, one which at 18 years old is completely original with only 72,000 miles. Stamped Honda history shows 13 main dealer visits and a further 5 annual services.

So if you are looking for one of the very best early pre facelifts on the market, you’ve found the needle in the haystack. Solid, rust free and reliable enough to use as a daily drive or put away for weekend meets and investment purposes. I would describe this car as ‘near mint’ condition, and if like me you’ve been to look at a few, to find one like this is increasingly difficult and should not to be missed.

Lovingly cared for by the same owner since 2008 to 2020, and regular as clockwork was serviced every June. MOT history on the car is impeccable with zero mention of corrosion. With such loving stewardship from previous owners, you can imagine the way it drives, like the car itself, as good as new. The well documented low end torque gives way to endless pull from the Vtec at 6000rpm, the steering, ride and brakes all in perfectly working order and just had new Brembo pads and a brake service. The car sits on new Pirelli P-Zero on all corners and the electronics work as they should. When all said this unmolested, unmodified, hot hatch is tight as a drum.

As with any 18 year old car there are minor details for any meticulous new owner to work on. If being really picky there are a few stone chips to the bonnet, and a minor blemish on boot (pictured). When all considered it truly is an exemplary example of an iconic car, one that should not be missed from any serious collector.
